Good afternoon, this is Mr. Diegel with a couple of items. First of all, I hope that all is going well with your family, as we miss our kiddos smiling faces in the hallways each day. I also ask that you please check your children’s bags that we delivered on Tuesday to make sure that they didn't accidently receive a bag that isn't there’s. We are missing a student’s bag that we would like to get to the correct student. If you have this bag, please call the school. Thank you.

Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel from the Kidder County School with an announcement. This is a reminder that tomorrow morning at approximately 10:00 AM, buses will leave the school and deliver all rural students a bag that will contain their personal items, school materials, musical instruments and Chromebooks to your home. Even if your child does not normally ride a bus, all rural students will have this delivered to your house. If you live in the town of Steele or Tappen, you can pick up your bag at the school of the town in which you live, between 11:00 – 12:00 outside on the sidewalk in front of the school, regardless of which school you attend. For example, all students who live in Tappen will pick their bag up at the school, even if they attend school in Steele.
I want to say that we feel well prepared to offer a high quality distance education to your child for as long as this event occurs. As we move into uncharted waters, our team of teachers and support staff will gradually introduce our students to distance education and we will do the best that we can. If there are problems along the way, please let us know, and bear with us as we address these concerns.
Finally, if your children have any library books at home, please have the bus pick them up when they drop off your bag, or bring them to the school if you live in town.
We have a great team who cares very deeply about your children, and please assure them that we will get through these difficult times and come out of it stronger than ever. Thank you and God Bless.

Dear PK-12 Families:
Mr. Wachter and Mr. Larson will be holding two online meetings on Tuesday, March 24th. During this time, we will do our best to answer any questions that you may have for the administration. If you would like to ask a question in advance, please feel free to call the school and we will record your question for the live meeting. If you are unable to get logged in during the meeting times, please know that we plan to continue having these online meetings as needed. Below is some key information for attending the meetings…
-Limits: We have a 100-person limit and a max of 40 minute meetings.
-Joining the Meeting: We will put a link on our website live feed, Facebook, and Twitter 10 minutes before the meetings begin. You will simply click the link, download Zoom, and then will be able to join the meeting.
-Times (Tuesday, March 24th): *3:00pm (link will be sent out at 2:50pm) *7:00pm (link will be sent out at 6:50pm).

Dear 7-12 Families & Students:
First of all, thank you for being very patient with us as we figure out our new online delivery system for all of our students. I want you all to know that we miss you very much and cannot wait to get started. Although this is uncharted territory for all of us, I am very confident in our ability to provide your students with a quality education using the online tools we have been implementing for the past few years. Below is some key information for the weeks moving forward…
-Google Classroom: Online learning will begin on Wednesday, March 25th via google classroom. Please check your Google classroom for each of your classes daily. This process will start very slow and gradually progress as the weeks pass. Again if you have any questions please feel free to contact Mr. Wachter.
-7-12 class registrations: Students can take a picture and email their completed forms to michael.wachter@kcschools.org. If students or parents have questions they can email, call the school, or even set up an online meeting with Mr. Wachter to discuss scheduling issues.
-Mr. Wachter

Good afternoon, this is Mr. Diegel with an important school announcement. At this time, per Governor Burgum’s directive, we will not have students in our building to be educated until further notice. However, to the best of our ability, we will continue to deliver a high quality, standards based education to all students. As this situation changes very quickly, I want to assure everyone that the Kidder County School has an unbelievable team that will continue to provide all students a high quality education, however through a different method than in the past. We will be supplying Chromebooks to all students in grades K – 12 so that we can deliver distance learning education through Google Classroom. Also, beginning immediately, we will provide sack “grab and go” lunches for everyone ages 1 – 18. For more information on all of these items, please see the important links below. Thank you and God Bless.

Good morning, this is Mr. Diegel with a school announcement. There will be NO SCHOOL next week, from March 23rd – March 27th in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We certainly miss seeing all of our students in the hallways every day, and we look forward to the day that “normal” activities resume. Also, there will be a more detailed announcement and information provided to everyone on Friday afternoon. Thank you and God Bless.

Good morning, this is Mr. Diegel from the Kidder County School with a school update. Though we have not been informed about cancelling school beyond this week, we are making contingency plans to deliver instruction to our students through on-line instruction to the best of our ability, if the need should arise. If you do not have internet connection at your home, please call and leave a message at the school telling us your name and verifying your mailing address so we can mail your child’s educational packets. Once again, this is ONLY in the event that school is cancelled for next week, which we do not yet know. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
