In the past month Kidder County juniors and seniors were able to meet with Mr. Kelly Armstrong and Ms. Cara Mund. Students led the discussion by asking questions and were able to learn about the process for running for a seat in the US House of Representatives.

On our way to the National FFA Convention we stopped in Peoria, Illinois and toured the Caterpillar Visitors Center. Learned about the history of Caterpillar, the different equipment, Cat Power, and operated the cat simulators.

On our way to National FFA Convention in Indianapolis we toured Wetherby Cranberry Company in Wisconsin. There the students learned how Cranberries were raised from planting, spraying, fertilizing, flooding, transplanting, frost protecting and Harvesting. They also demonstrated the process of manufacturing craisins, sorting and packaging fresh cranberries. Wisconsin cranberry bogs produce the most amount of Cranberries than any other state in the US.
