Good morning,
We apologize for the recent mix up of rescheduling the KC HS Spring Music Concert.
The HS spring concert scheduled for tonight has now been moved to Thursday, March 16 from 1:30pm-2:15pm. Due to the recent weather and multiple rescheduled events, we have decided to try something new to ensure our students still have the opportunity to perform.
The public is welcome to attend the event and will be able to sit in the chairs on the floor while our KC student-body will occupy the bleachers. The event will be recorded and pushed out for anyone unable to attend.
We appreciate your understanding of this with our many rescheduled delays this school year.
Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel with a weather related school announcement. Because of the current road conditions and the forecasted winds increasing by early tomorrow afternoon, school tomorrow, Friday, March 10th, will be held virtually. Once again, school tomorrow will be held virtually. Please refer to E-Learning Virtual document that was distributed. Thank you.

This is Mr. Diegel with a message relating to our in-town bus route. I am sorry to report that because of a shortage of bus drivers, beginning on Monday, March 13th and until further notice, we will no longer be operating the in-town bus route. We are hoping that at some point we will be able to again offer this route, but at this time we have no choice but to no longer operate this route. Thank you and have a great day.
Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel with a message that is only going to bus route families. First of all, I want to THANK YOU for helping us out and cleaning out your yards, it is GREATLY appreciated. I also wanted to let you know that buses will continue to run where possible, and if your bus drivers doesn’t feel that they can safely travel down a road, they will contact parents about meeting them, but we will not travel down that road. Please continue to communicate with your bus driver, and hopefully Spring will be here soon! Thank you.
Good afternoon, this is Mr. Diegel with a message that is only going to families on a bus route. School will be dismissing at its regular time today, however, with the continual snow and wind, we realize that some gravel roads will be nearly impassable. Please be in communication with your bus driver to determine if they can reach your house, or schedule a meeting place if they are unable to. Thank you for your continued cooperation, it is greatly appreciated.
All Kidder County after school activities scheduled for this evening (March 7) have been cancelled due to weather conditions.
Good afternoon, this is Mr. Diegel with a message that is only going to students attending the Washington DC trip. Because of the continueal snowfall and road conditions, the meeting scheduled for tonight at 7:00 PM has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 14th at 7:00 PM. Thank you and stay safe!
Families of KC PreK-6th students: Today was the launch of our 2023 One Book, One School novel, Bat and The Waiting Game. Each family will receive a book for you to keep, suggested reading schedule, and note explaining how it works. We hope you enjoy reading this book together!

If you live on a bus route, please communicate with your bus driver about the conditions of your roads and yards. Thanks, and stay safe.

Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel contacting only those that live on a bus route. I hope everyone is doing as well as possible considering the amount of snow that we received the last 24 hours. School tomorrow will be on time; however, I am reaching out to you to ask that you please contact your bus drivers to let them know which roads in your area are passable and if they can safely reach your house. If the bus cannot safely reach your house, please determine a meeting place so that we don’t have buses getting stuck. As with any emergency situation, if we all continue to communicate and work together, hopefully we can get through this with minimal problems. Thanks for your understanding.
Due to continued closed roads in our area, the District 6 Boys Basketball Tournament scheduled for today in Hazelton has been postponed to tomorrow Thursday, March 2 with the same start times.
Foods II class has been playing with different grains lately. Gluten experiment, fried rice, homemade pasta making and bread baking!
