This is intended for Elementary Parents in Grades PK-5th Grade: This message is to inform you we have switched to a new supplemental, online reading program called AMIRA that is recommended by the state to replace our old program, Lexia. AMIRA is an AI program recommended to use through the State Science of Reading Legislation that is required for ND schools. We hope you understand that this is a proactive approach to reach out and keep you, the parent, informed on the updates we are required to do by the state of ND.
West Fargo School District, Kidder County School District, and Elgin-New Leipzig Public School District all achieved this distinction, along with the Early Childhood Special Education School (Fargo) and West Fargo Early Childhood Center.
To earn Accredited with Merit status, schools must exceed Cognia's accreditation standards, demonstrate strong student performance in at least one curricular area, and show at least one noteworthy practice identified by the review team.
"These schools have built an environment where students can learn, grow and thrive," said State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier. "Their accreditation scores reflect a dedication to doing what is right for the young people of our state."

First of all, I want to welcome everyone back for another great school year. The first day of school is always my favorite day of the year!!!
I also wanted to ask for your understanding for some types of communication this fall, as we continue to work out the bugs of our new Infinite Campus system. As you know, the entire state has switched from Power School to Infinite Campus, as with this conversion, there were some bumps along the way. We are confident that in the end, Infinite Campus will be a better product with more features for the school and parents to better help students.
We can still reach out to individual parents or all parents, but at this time we cannot reach out to specific grades and extra-curricular groups as we work with both Infinite Campus and Apptegy (our communication system) to fix these issues.
