The Kidder County School District is located in central North Dakota off of I-94, 40 miles east of Bismarck and 60 miles west of Jamestown. Our district includes the Kidder County High School and Elementary School, located in Steele, ND. Our district maintains a total enrollment around 400 students. Communities included in our school district are: Pettibone, Robinson, Tappen, Tuttle, Driscoll, Dawson, and Steele. Main business and administrative offices are located in Steele, ND, with hours 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Mainly an agricultural area of central North Dakota. We also are a great area for the outdoorsman, with abundant resources of waterfowl, upland game birds, fishing and deer hunting. There are numerous small lakes in the area to provide entertainment for those that love water sports as well!
